Warninglid 80th VE/VJ Day Summer Dance
Well that was the night that was! In fact it was the worst night we’ve had all year – and yes of course, we mean the weather and not the dance…! The dance was brilliant.
We were marvellously entertained by the Perdido Players, kept in order by the Sussex 23rd Home Guard Detachment, taught to dance by the Brighthelm Swing Lindy Hop group, served gin and tonics and bacon buns by the Half Moon, had a well-stocked bar and yes, everyone had a wonderful time despite the
VERY persistent rain!
A huge big thank you to Mark and Carol Pickering (and their daughter Vicky) for leading the event, excellently assisted by Maral, Treasurer to both WRS and Seaforth Hall in this excellent joint villageevent which was predominantly, after all, a fundraising evening for the Seaforth Hall.
